Burgess recruitment is seeking a First Mate for a 35m private motor yacht based in Mallorca. The role requires a seasoned professional to lead the deck crew, manage watchkeeping, and liaise with owners and guests while maintaining high safety and operational standards.

The successful candidate will hold Yacht Master Offshore/Ocean, be working towards OOW, and have a minimum of five seasons in superyachts, with the ability to manage dayworkers and contractors. Salary DOE.

We are seeking an experienced & professional First Mate to join a close knit crew on board a private yacht.

Requirements

• Yacht Master Offshore/Ocean essential – working towards OOW
• Minimum 5 seasons superyacht experience
• Ability to lead deck crew and ensure smooth onboard operations
• Competent in bridge management & strong watchkeeping abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with crew and guests
• Must be a true team player

Start date: ASAP

Location: Mallorca

Salary: DOE

Leave: TBD (This is not a rotational position)
