Job summary

Burgess recruitment is seeking a First Mate for a 35m private motor yacht based in Mallorca. The role requires a seasoned professional to lead the deck crew, manage watchkeeping, and liaise with owners and guests while maintaining high safety and operational standards.

The successful candidate will hold Yacht Master Offshore/Ocean, be working towards OOW, and have a minimum of five seasons in superyachts, with the ability to manage dayworkers and contractors. Salary DOE.

Qualifications

• Yacht Master Offshore/Ocean essential, working towards OOW.
• Minimum 5 seasons superyacht experience.
• Ability to lead deck crew and ensure smooth onboard operations.
• Competent in bridge management and strong watchkeeping.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with crew and guests.
• Must be a true team player.
• Confident tender driver (Essential).
• Confident working independently and able to manage contractors and dayworkers.
• New build experience and handling warranty items an advantage.
