Siemens Mobility in Madrid invites an experienced CBTC Application Team Lead to guide an international, multidisciplinary engineering team delivering software, data, and testing for global signaling projects.

You will drive technical excellence while integrating AI and advanced data processing to shape railway automation, and ensure compliance with CENELEC safety standards and the V-Model lifecycle.

Formación

• University degree in Engineering (Telecommunications, Electrical, Computer Science, or similar).
• Solid background in railway signaling engineering, CBTC systems.
• Knowledge of railway safety lifecycle and CENELEC regulations.
• Fluency in English and Spanish; able to travel internationally.
• Experience leading international, multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and develop a diverse, global technical team across time zones.
• Drive adoption of AI tools and advanced data processing to optimize ATC design and testing.
• Ensure CBTC/ATC solutions adhere to CENELEC safety standards and the V-Model lifecycle.
• Promote automation to improve quality and reduce time-to-market across engineering functions.
• Act as the primary technical escalation point for complex challenges in international projects.

Your mission in our team As a CBTC Application Team Lead

you will guide an international, multidisciplinary engineering team delivering cutting-edge software, data, and testing for global signaling projects. You will drive technical excellence while integrating Artificial Intelligence and advanced data processing to shape the future of railway automation.

You'll make a difference by

• Leading and developing a diverse, global technical team, fostering a high-performance culture across different time zones.
• Driving the adoption of AI tools and advanced data processing (like LIDAR) to optimize ATC application design and testing.
• Ensuring all CBTC and ATC solutions strictly adhere to CENELEC safety standards and the V-Model life cycle.
• Harmonizing engineering methods globally by promoting automation to improve quality and reduce time-to-market.
• Acting as the primary technical escalation point to resolve complex engineering challenges in international projects.

Your success is grounded in

• A University degree in Engineering (Telecommunications, Electrical, Computer Science, or similar).
• A solid background in railway signaling engineering, specifically focusing on CBTC systems.
• Deep understanding of the railway safety life cycle and CENELEC regulations.
• An international mindset with the ability to lead, influence, and communicate effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish, alongside availability for international travel.

You'll thrive even more if you also bring

• Experience or a strong interest in applying Machine Learning and AI to engineering processes.
• Previous experience working with ETCS projects.
