SME Careers is seeking a Catalan Language Specialist to review AI-generated content and provide high-quality Catalan reference materials on an hourly, remote basis. You will assess language quality across accuracy, fluency, tone, and cultural appropriateness, delivering precise feedback and rewrites to improve model outputs.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree, native Catalan, strong English (C1), and at least 3 years in writing, editing, localization, or QA related to language tasks,

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Linguistics, Catalan Philology, Catalan Literature, English Literature, Communications, Journalism, Translation, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Native Catalan proficiency with strong reading and writing skills.
• Strong professional proficiency in English (C1).
• 3+ years of experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism, education, or related language work.
• Deep understanding of Catalan grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, accents, pronouns, verb forms, and idiomatic usage.
• Ability to work with multiple registers and regional variations in Catalan.
• Reliable, self-directed, hourly remote contractor workflow across time zones.
• Prior experience with AI data training/annotation or QA is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop AI Training Content: Create prompts and gold-standard Catalan answers across various domains.
• Optimize AI Performance: Evaluate and rank outputs for fluency, tone, and regional appropriateness.
• Ensure Model Integrity: Detect unsafe or misleading content and validate reliability across use cases.
