Job summary

Jumby Bay Island, part of Oetker Hotels, seeks a professional Butler to deliver world-class service to luxury villa and residence guests on a private Caribbean island. Responsibilities include greeting guests, arranging pre-arrivals, wardrobe assistance, dining and transport coordination, and meticulous villa presentation.

The role requires at least two years in luxury hospitality, excellent communication, a valid Driver's License and a Food Handlers' Certificate, plus Forbes/LQA awareness.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hospitality environment.
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills across all levels.
• Valid Driver's License and Food Handlers' Certificate required.
• Knowledge of Forbes and LQA Standards preferred.
• Fluency in English; second language a plus.
• Roles require ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized butler service to luxury villa and residence guests, including arrival welcome and villa orientation.
• Coordinate pre-arrival arrangements and personalize guest experiences.
• Assist with wardrobe care, packing/unpacking services, and luggage handling as needed.
• Coordinate dining reservations, transportation, spa appointments, excursions, and celebrations.
• Serve food and beverages following luxury service standards.
• Maintain villa presentation and liaise with Housekeeping, Engineering and Culinary teams.
• Prepare and replenish minibars and guest amenities.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve concerns efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized butler service to luxury villa and residence guests, inclusive of welcoming guests upon arrival and providing villa orientation.
• Coordinate pre-arrival arrangements and personalize guest experiences.
• Manage unpacking and packing services upon request and assist with wardrobe care, shoe care, pressing, and luggage handling as needed.
• Coordinate dining reservations, transportation, spa appointments, excursions, and special celebrations.
• Serve food and beverages following luxury service standards.
• Maintain villa presentation and coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Culinary, and other departments.
• Prepare and replenish minibars and guest amenities.
• Always maintain complete confidentiality and professionalism.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve concerns efficiently.

Profile

• Minimum two years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hospitality environment.
• Ability to communicate at all levels - excellent listening, verbal & written communication skills.
• Valid Driver's License and Food Handlers' Certificate required.
• Knowledge of Forbes and LQA Standards preferred.
• Applicable certifications/degrees preferable.
• Full Fluency of the English language, both written and spoken. Fluency in a second language an asset.
• These roles require job holders to be able to work flexible hours.
