Job summary

Alexion seeks an Associate Director, Global Sourcing based in Barcelona, to lead strategic procurement across Marketing and Medical Affairs. You will partner with functional leaders to develop category strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive value generation.

You will own global sourcing for key supplier categories, guide post‑contract management, ensure compliance, and collaborate across Legal, Finance and IT to enable scalable, cost‑effective operations while fostering

Qualifications

7+ years of global procurement experience in marketing, medical affairs or R&D categories.
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry with external providers and cross-functional interaction.
Strong relationship building and cross-regional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Identify and manage strategic relationships with Marketing, Medical Affairs and other stakeholders.
Develop category strategies and value generation plans with Legal, Finance and IT support.
Own sourcing strategy for Global Supplier Categories and oversee supplier evaluation to contract.
Lead post-contract management, supplier relationship management and continuous improvement.
Drive total cost of ownership initiatives and ensure compliant spend across regions.
