Job summary

Alexion Pharma Spain S.L. is seeking a Medical Director, Global Patient Safety to lead safety activities for one or more products from development through post-marketing.

You will oversee safety content, risk management, and messaging aligned with strategy, and interact with cross-functional teams and regulatory bodies. The role requires medical or life sciences qualifications, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and experience in drug safety and development.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent degree and experience in Patient Safety/Drug Development.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities for complex problems.
• Ability to manage multiple overlapping tasks to tight timelines across projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk management evaluation and resolution for assigned products and projects.
• Chair or direct Safety Management Team ensuring safety-driven decisions.
• Represent GPS in internal governance committees and with Regulatory authorities.
