Job summary

Alexion seeks an Associate Director of Scientific Communications Excellence to drive operational excellence across the Global Scientific Communications team in Barcelona. The role blends scientific communications, digital innovation, and intelligent process design with governance, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities.

You will partner with internal stakeholders to implement best publication practices, automate workflows, and ensure compliance, efficiency, and optimal resource use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5–7 years in pharma or medical communications operations.
• PM certification (PMP) a plus; strong project management skills.
• Experience with iEnvision, SharePoint, Veeva; data tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead publication governance and ensure audit readiness.
• Drive automation and AI-enabled tooling for processes.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency.
• Monitor KPIs and report performance.
