Ebury is looking for an Associate Engineer to help automate operations and deliver reliable backend services from its Malaga hybrid office. You’ll work with Python (and grow into Node.js/TypeScript), AWS, and a team dedicated to scalable, secure fintech platforms.

This hands-on role emphasizes learning from senior engineers, writing tests, and building distributed systems while collaborating across global hubs. You’ll be based in Málaga with 4 days on-site and 1 day remote.

Formación

• Degree in IT, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Foundational proficiency in Python for scripting and building small services.
• Basic familiarity with cloud environments (AWS or GCP) and Git workflows.
• 0–2 years of experience (internship or bootcamp ok) and strong backend fundamentals.
• Working English for collaboration across global hubs.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver well-defined tasks within the squad's backend services, with guidance and code review from senior engineers.
• Automate processes: write and maintain scripts and services that eliminate repetitive manual work.
• Pair and learn: shadow senior engineers on orchestration and architecture work; build distributed-systems foundations.
• Engineering hygiene: write tests and clear documentation; respond to code-review feedback and improve from it.
• Participate in team routines: stand-ups, Kanban flow, retros; grow toward larger projects.
• Grow toward L2/L3: take on bigger, less-defined work as depth increases.
