Ebury is seeking an Associate Engineer in Málaga to help automate operations and deliver reliable backend services. You will write Python (and grow into Node.js/TypeScript), work with AWS, and collaborate with senior engineers to scale our platform globally.

This role is hands-on with well-scoped tasks, emphasizes growth, and offers mentorship within an established ClientOps squad that supports FX, payments, and lending across a regulated environment.

Formación

• Foundational proficiency in Python (or similar language) for scripting and building small services.
• Basic familiarity with cloud environments (AWS or GCP) and how code repositories (like Git) work.
• Degree in IT, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Solid understanding of core programming, debugging, and testing principles, with eagerness to learn backend and distributed-systems concepts.
• Growth mindset: actively seek feedback, pair to learn, and take ownership of well-defined tasks; working English for collaborating across global hubs.
• Based in Málaga (or relocating), 4 days/week on-site with team mentorship.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver well-defined tasks within the backend services with code reviews from senior engineers.
• Automate processes: write and maintain scripts and services to eliminate repetitive manual work.
• Shadow senior engineers on orchestration and architecture work; build distributed-systems foundations.
• Write tests and documentation; respond to code-review feedback and improve from it.
• Participate in team rituals: stand-ups and Kanban flow; help optimize cycle time.
