Ebury is hiring a Staff Engineer for the Madrid office to design, build and operate reusable backend services in Python or TypeScript/Node.js. You will own cross-domain services and help migrate legacy integrations in a fintech environment.

Work with product managers, designers and engineers to deliver robust features, apply RFCs, CI/CD and AI tooling, and contribute to a scalable client data platform. Hybrid work in Madrid.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years backend software engineering experience or 7+ years with cross-domain impact.
• Experience in fintech or financial services preferred.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, APIs, and microservices.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and operate reusable backend services in Python or TS/Node.js.
• Lead migrations to reduce legacy integrations and establish data contracts.
• Move complex domain logic from CRM into purpose-built platforms.
• Collaborate through RFCs and with product managers and designers.
• Own development and maintenance under the 'you build it, you own it' ethos.
• Build production-grade AI and integrate LLMs for operations tooling.
• Contribute to Temporal orchestration and observability across services.
• Write testable code and ship via CI/CD and Terraform-managed infra.
