IOM in Spain seeks a social work professional to provide direct protection services to migrants, assess needs, and connect clients with essential resources. The role involves safeguarding dignity and well-being, coordinating with the Protection Team Leader, and maintaining confidential case files in a fast-paced context.

The successful candidate will hold a Social Work degree (or related) and demonstrate strong interpersonal, writing and reporting skills, with experience in humanitarian

Formación

• University degree in Social Work preferred
• Experience liaising with authorities and stakeholders desirable
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Responsabilidades

• Conduct social assessments to identify needs, vulnerabilities and resources; design individualized care plans
• Perform vulnerability assessments and identify protection needs
• Manage and monitor assigned cases with person-centred care; maintain updated files
• Coordinate with Protection Team Leader; report urgent risks promptly
• Collect and record data for databases; support preparation of intervention reports
• Identify emerging trends, risks and gaps in assistance while ensuring confidentiality of migrant data
