UST is seeking a talented L3 Support Engineer to join a strategic banking project based in Madrid, Spain. The role requires visiting client offices in central Madrid three days a week and a high level of English.

You will handle escalation, RCA, and complex troubleshooting across .NET, SQL, and distributed systems, with exposure to Kubernetes and CI/CD environments. A strong on-call mindset and collaboration with global teams are essential.

Formación

• 3+ years of hands-on L3 Application Support, Site Reliability, or Software Engineering in high-availability environments.
• English C1 is required.
• Strong backend troubleshooting skills with .NET and C#; solid experience with REST APIs, Microservices, MQ and Kafka.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the L3 escalation point for critical production incidents, driving resolution via log analysis, code debugging and telemetry.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for outages and coordinate long-term fixes with core development teams.
• Coordinate incident resolution efforts and ensure timely restoration of service.
• Participate in live incident calls and maintain situational awareness until services are restored.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimize distributed microservices and event streams in production.
• Maintain database integrity and debug performance issues with complex SQL queries.
• Participate in release management and deployment processes in Kubernetes clusters.
• Join rotating 24/7 on-call duty to support mission-critical applications.

What we look for?

We are currently looking for a L3 Support Engineer with experience with .NET and SQL to join a strategic banking project based in Madrid, Spain. Required to go to the client's offices in central Madrid 3 days a week. High english level is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the L3 escalation point for critical production incidents, driving resolution through log analysis, code debugging, and telemetry.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for complex outages, working with core development teams to implement long-term fixes.
• Coordinate and drive incident resolution efforts by quickly assessing issues, engaging the appropriate technical teams, and ensuring timely restoration of service.
• Actively participate in live incident calls and maintain situational awareness until services are fully restored.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize distributed microservices and event streams across production environments.
• Maintain database integrity and debug performance issues using complex SQL queries.
• Participate in release management, operational readiness reviews, and deployment processes in Kubernetes clusters.
• Join the team's rotating 24/7 on-call duty schedule to support mission-critical applications.

Mandatory Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in L3 Application Support, Site Reliability, or Software Engineering in high-availability environments.
• English C1
• Strong backend troubleshooting skills with .NET and C# Solid experience with distributed architectures: REST APIs, Microservices, MQ and Kafka (event handling/topics debugging).
• Deep working knowledge of MSSQL and relational databases for data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Other databases technologies are a plus.
• Proficient with Kubernetes, Windows, and Linux environments.
• Proven ability to participate in an on-call rota (including evening/weekend coverage as scheduled).
• Hands on experience using Dynatrace and Splunk. Grafana is a nice to have.
• NICE TO HAVE Familiarity with frontend frameworks, specifically React, to assist in end-to-end user issue tracing. Prior experience in Fintech, Digital Banking, and investment product. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins). Handling of Active Directory tasks.
