JD Logistics, the logistics arm of JD.com, is seeking a high-caliber procurement professional to own the Spanish carrier ecosystem. You will secure partnerships with primary and secondary 3PLs, negotiate tariffs, and ensure SLA adherence to meet growth targets.

Fluency in English and Spanish is required, with Mandarin valued. You will report to regional leadership and adapt to peak-season capacity needs across Spain’s road transport and last-mile networks.

• Negotiate and manage carrier relationships across Spain to secure performance and cost efficiency.
• Draft and uphold SLAs, monitor on-time delivery and damage mitigation with external providers.
• Optimize transport rates and capacity for linehaul, parcel injection, and bulky goods delivery.
• Report performance to regional leadership and coordinate with finance and operations teams.

The Mission & Core Scope

• The Mission: Secure, onboard, and manage the performance of all external 3PL transport and last-mile service providers across Spain, maximizing network capacity and cost efficiency while protecting corporate delivery standards.
• The Scope: You will take full corporate ownership of carrier relationships, commercial rate negotiations, Service Level Agreement (SLA) drafting, and ongoing vendor performance management for the Spanish market, reporting directly to regional leadership.

Crucial Expectations & Performance Targets

To provide a clear understanding of the accountability required, the successful candidate will be evaluated on the following key metrics during the initial 6 to 12 months:

• Vendor Ecosystem Commissioning: Successfully negotiate, contract, and integrate primary and secondary 3PL transport partners in time to support our phased launch dates.
• Cost Optimization & Rate Structures: Secure competitive transport rate matrices (including linehaul, parcel injection, and bulky-goods home delivery) that align with corporate profitability targets and budgetary controls.
• Strict SLA Compliance & Accountability: Establish rigorous daily, weekly, and monthly business review (QBR) processes, holding carriers accountable to target On-Time Delivery (OTD) and cargo damage mitigation standards.
• Flexible Capacity Architecture: Build a highly responsive carrier pipeline capable of scaling container, truckload, and final-mile volume rapidly during e-commerce peak seasons and promotional events.

Position Requirements

• Deep Procurement & Freight Mastery: Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of contract negotiation and tariff management within the Spanish road transport and final-mile delivery markets.
• Language Proficiency: Professional fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory to conduct complex local contract negotiations and deliver clear strategic procurement presentations to global HQ. Knowledge of Mandarin is a highly valued corporate asset.
• Operational Flexibility: High adaptability regarding project priorities, timeline changes, and emergency capacity sourcing inherent to a market-level network deployment.
