The Technical Associate (Warehouse Management Systems and Controls) provides essential first-line functional and technical support for the warehouse management systems (WMS), warehouse control systems (WCS), and associated automation equipment within UNICEF's Copenhagen hub. The primary goal is to ensure the reliable flow of materials and maintain a high level of equipment availability, thereby supporting the uninterrupted delivery of critical supplies to children and families worldwide. This role involves analyzing and resolving system and controls issues, coordinating incident response and recovery, supporting testing and documentation for system changes, and contributing to knowledge transfer. The incumbent will play a key part in maintaining compliance with international standards, particularly for regulated products like medicines, and ensuring product safety and quality throughout the supply chain. This position is vital for strengthening in-house WMS and controls capabilities, ensuring business continuity, and retaining operational knowledge within the automated warehouse environment.
The Technical Associate (Warehouse Management Systems and Controls) is responsible for providing first-line functional and technical support for WMS, WCS, visualization, and associated controls used in warehouse operations. The incumbent will analyze incidents affecting order execution, inventory movements, equipment communication, and automated material flow, using diagnostic tools to identify fault origins. They will coordinate controlled system recovery and verify correct operation before returning to normal service. Prompt response to system, controls, and automation incidents, prioritizing operational needs and safety, is essential. The role involves performing structured fault analysis, documenting findings, and supporting root-cause investigations for recurring incidents.
