Job summary

VELUX A/S in Østbirk is seeking a Student Assistant for Internal Communication in Operation & Supply. You will help write and develop engaging stories for colleagues across platforms and media, and support content creation for SharePoint and Viva Engage.

Work 15-20 hours per week with flexible hours; remote work is possible, but you should spend at least one day weekly in the Østbirk office. This role offers hands-on learning in corporate communications within a global group.

Qualifications

• Currently studying communication, journalism, or a related field, preferably in the final year of your bachelor’s degree.
• Fluent in both written and spoken Danish and English.
• Quickly grasp new topics and communicate them clearly and engagingly.
• Digital savvy with interest in Microsoft 365 tools and internal channels.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Communication Partner in creating, editing, and publishing internal content.

Student Assistant for Internal Communication, Operation & Supply – VELUX A/S - Østbirk

Then you could be our new Student Assistant for Internal Communication in VELUX Operation & Supply.

Meet your future team

As our new Student Assistant, you will become part of the Operation & Supply organisation and work closely with our Senior Communication Partner and another Student Assistant. Together, you will help ensure effective and engaging communication across an organisation of approximately 6,200 colleagues located across Europe and the US within production, logistics, QHSE&E, and engineering.

You will join a collaborative and supportive environment where you will gain hands‑on experience with internal communication, content creation, digital platforms, and communication planning. The role offers considerable opportunities for learning and professional development while contributing to important initiatives across the business.

We are looking for a student who can work 15-20 hours per week. Working hours are flexible and can be adapted to fit your studies. Remote work is possible, but you should expect to work from our Østbirk office at least one day per week. It might be possible to find different carpools to Østbirk.

What we offer

More specifically, your tasks will be to:

• Support the Senior Communication Partner in creating, editing, preparing, and publishing articles, news stories, and other content about developments across the Operation & Supply organisation.
• Assist in developing and executing communication plans for strategies, strategic projects, and organisational initiatives.
• Collect and analyse data from our digital communication platforms to evaluate the reach and effectiveness of communication activities.
• Develop and maintain our internal SharePoint site with relevant and engaging content.
• Promote internal communication and support smaller campaigns across channels such as Viva Engage and information screens.
• Assist with ad hoc communication tasks and production of communication materials, including basic video content, PowerPoint presentations, leaflets, posters, and other visual assets.

• Are currently studying communication, journalism, or a related field, preferably in the final year of your bachelor’s degree.

• Are outgoing, eager to learn and develop, and comfortable handling unexpected tasks and opportunities.
• Are digitally savvy and interested in exploring new ways to communicate effectively through digital channels and formats.
• Have experience with or an interest in Microsoft 365 tools, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Viva Engage.
