Job summary

Novo Nordisk is seeking a Procurement Excellence Lead to shape strategic procurement across a global organisation. You will enable category and sourcing managers, drive excellence initiatives, and standardise processes to deliver measurable value for Global Manufacturing & Supply.

The role spans two strategic units (GSOD and GDP) and focuses on change management, capability building and innovative procurement practices.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement or category management in a large international organization.
• Proven track record driving procurement excellence, process improvement and transformation.
• Experience designing capability-building programmes, training and organisational development.
• At least two years of change management, leading transformation and embedding new ways of working.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing skills and partnerships at all levels including senior leadership.
• Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills with measurable business impact.
• Fluent English communication and presentation skills.
• Master's degree, MBA or equivalent in SCM, business, engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement excellence initiatives to improve performance and deliver measurable value.
• Design and run capability-building programmes for GSOD and GDP units to advance their capabilities.
• Standardise and simplify processes using Lean and continuous improvement across the organization.
• Lead change management for transformation initiatives and embed new ways of working.
• Partner with procurement teams and stakeholders to secure alignment and buy-in at all levels.
• Introduce innovative approaches and digital tools to sharpen decisions and expand the toolbox.
