Job summary

Formalize is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to own end-to-end product development and drive architecture across the GRC infrastructure. You’ll balance business needs with long-term technical health and coordinate with engineers to advance our engineering practices.

You will mentor senior engineers, lead architectural sessions, and collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design to shape scalable solutions across the stack.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of at least one layer of our stack (PHP/Angular) and strong software architecture.
• Production experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable systems end-to-end.
• Focus on quality and value delivery in product development.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the full product development end-to-end.
• Act as a technical lighthouse, defining architecture and balancing business needs with long-term technical health.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design to shape solutions and oversee technical implementations.
• Lead and mentor without direct people management, promoting continuous learning and knowledge-sharing across the organization.
