Job summary

Formalize is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the GRC Infrastructure team. You will be the technical anchor for our critical systems, hands-on in designing scalable architectures, mentoring engineers, and guiding cross‑team decisions.

You’ll influence platform direction with a strong focus on quality and performance. You will lead end-to-end technical projects, own core components, and collaborate across Engineering, Product and Design.

Qualifications

• Professional experience designing and maintaining scalable production systems.
• Ability to define technical direction and lead deep architectural discussions.
• Experience with Domain‑Driven Design (DDD) and scalable software design.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex technical projects end-to-end across multiple teams.
• Own critical product components forming the platform's foundation.
• Provide architectural direction and unblock engineers during design reviews.
• Raise engineering quality through code standards and reference implementations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product and Design to guide end-to-end delivery.
• Identify and resolve technical debt, improve observability and deployment flows.
