Formalize is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our GRC Infrastructure team in Aarhus. You’ll be the technical anchor for our critical systems, hands-on with scalable design, mentoring others and guiding engineering decisions.

You’ll lead complex projects end-to-end, own key components, and act as a sparring partner in architecture discussions. Salary grows with your impact within our framework.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in a Software Engineering role designing scalable systems.
• Ability to define technical direction and lead deep architectural discussions.
• Expertise in at least one stack (PHP/Laravel or Angular) and general system design.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex technical projects end-to-end with flexible, secure, high-performance platforms.
• Take full ownership of critical components that form the scalable foundation.
• Act as a technical sparring partner during architectural discussions and unblock engineers.
• Raise the bar for engineering quality through reference implementations and standards.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Product and Design to shape solutions end-to-end.
• Proactively resolve technical debt and drive improvements to observability and deployments.
