Formalize is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own end-to-end product development and define architecture, coordinating with engineers to move our practices forward.

You will collaborate across the Marketplace Team to shape solutions for governance, risk, and compliance, using PHP/Laravel, Angular, and modern serverless AWS. Mentoring peers and raising engineering standards are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Senior Software Engineer with end-to-end systems experience.
• Experience designing scalable architectures for production.
• Strong communication in architectural discussions.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product development from conception to delivery.
• Define technical direction and coordinate with engineers to advance engineering practices.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Product, and Design to shape solutions and oversee implementations from start to finish.
• Mentor without direct people management and foster knowledge-sharing to raise engineering standards.
