LEGO in Billund seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead the software team, building play experiences through core components and engines that integrate motion, sound, and color detection. You will drive technical direction across software and firmware domains, ensuring efficient performance on physical platforms.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering leads, system architects, and cross-functional teams, with a focus on delivering engaging experiences for LEGO fans of all ages.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in technical leadership of software engineering teams.
• Experience in designing and building software platforms, components, or core engines akin to game engines in the video game industry.
• Skilled in C++, C, Python; experience with DSL.
• Demonstrable ability to work on engineering projects within a team.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, optimize Play Experiences through software components.
• Lead the software team from a technical standpoint through code reviews, support and mentoring, enforcing best practices and collaboration, and improving team efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering Leads and System Architects to ensure work is optimized for physical platforms.
• Improve performance and resource usage within a constrained system.
• Deliver new experiences in a timely manner for LEGO fans worldwide.
• Help improve processes and workflows.
