Job summary

The LEGO Group's Play Software department is seeking a Lead Software Engineer with expertise in C/C++/C#/.NET to deliver high-quality software tools for interactive LEGO experiences. You will mentor junior engineers, drive architecture, build pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work setup with 3 days in the office.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C and C++ with ability to navigate codebases.
• Experience with C# .NET and performance optimization.
• Experience in architectural discussions for innovative tooling.
• Git, Git actions, and secure coding practices.
• Automating development pipelines and toolchains; knowledge of Docker.
• Experience with cloud endpoints/backends and DevOps practices.
• Proficient in Python scripting for automation.
• Familiarity with cloud services and backend integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain modular, testable software using C# .NET, AvaloniaUI, and Python.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create developer tools for LEGO experiences.
• Ensure high quality via code reviews, automated tests and CI, with emphasis on unit tests.
• Support automation of pipelines and toolchains to improve developer efficiency.
• Engage in architectural discussions to drive technical excellence and loosely coupled solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote an agile mindset.
• Own the software and its operations, promoting accountability.
