Job summary

Systematic in Aarhus is seeking a Senior Specialist in GRIT Security to join a skilled team focused on security monitoring, threat detection, incident response and vulnerability management. The role is based in Aarhus, with openness to candidates in Copenhagen.

You will work across core security disciplines, collaborating with our SOC and other teams, while enjoying autonomy and shared responsibility for keeping systems safe.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years IT security experience, including SOC/CSIRT/CERT.
• Hands-on security operations and incident response.
• Know-how in Microsoft Defender and Azure.
• Proficiency with Python or PowerShell scripting.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

The job

As a Senior Specialist in GRIT Security, you will play a key role in keeping Systematic safe and compliant. You will work across security monitoring, threat detection, incident response and vulnerability management - with plenty of variety in your day‑to‑day work. The role is based in Aarhus, but we are also open to candidates based in Copenhagen.

In short, you can look forward to:

• Investigating and analysing security events escalated by our SOC, digging deeper where needed
• Investigating, containing and resolving security incidents end to end, and documenting findings and lessons learned
• Developing and tuning security configurations, detection rules, use cases and response playbooks
• Carrying out proactive threat hunting and contributing to vulnerability management and compliance work
• Advising and supporting other teams, and sharing your security knowledge across the organisation

Joining the team

You will join GRIT Security, an established and specialised team based across our offices in Aarhus and Copenhagen, working closely with our Security Operations Centre. We combine proactive security engineering with day-to-day monitoring and response, and every team member carries real autonomy and shared responsibility for keeping Systematic safe. Work runs in sprints, with a healthy mix of planned tasks and emerging priorities - so no two days look quite the same. Knowledge-sharing is central to how we work, so whatever the day brings, you will not be tackling it alone.

Your qualifications

You have around 4–6 years’ experience working with IT security, ideally including hands‑on experience in security operations and incident response - for example, in a SOC, CSIRT or CERT. You have a solid understanding of security configurations, monitoring and incident response, with hands‑on experience in Microsoft security technologies, particularly Microsoft Defender and Azure. You are comfortable working across networking, Windows and Linux, and know your way around common attack techniques such as the MITRE ATT&CK framework. You use scripting, for example: Python or PowerShell, to automate parts of your work.

On the personal side, you are:

• Calm, structured and analytical, with strong judgement under pressure
• A strong team player who communicates clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders

Fluent written and spoken English is required.
