Job summary

Systematic in Aarhus is seeking a Senior Security Specialist to protect critical systems in defence, healthcare and the public sector. You will join a highly skilled GRIT Security team where autonomy, hands-on incident response and threat detection shape everyday work.

You will work across security monitoring, threat detection, incident response and vulnerability management, with the role based in Aarhus though Bucharest is also considered. Fluent English is required.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years’ IT security experience with hands-on security operations and incident response in SOC/CSIRT/CERT.
• Solid understanding of security configurations, monitoring and incident response; hands-on with Microsoft Defender and Azure.
• Comfortable across networking, Windows and Linux; familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Scripting to automate tasks using Python or PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Investigating and analysing security events escalated by our SOC.
• Investigating, containing and resolving security incidents end to end, and documenting findings and lessons learned.
• Developing and tuning security configurations, detection rules, use cases and response playbooks.
• Carrying out proactive threat hunting and contributing to vulnerability management and compliance work.
• Advising and supporting other teams, sharing security knowledge across the organisation.

The job

As a Senior Specialist in GRIT Security, you will play a key role in keeping Systematic safe and compliant. You will work across security monitoring, threat detection, incident response and vulnerability management - with plenty of variety in your day-to-day work. The role is based in Aarhus, but we are also open to candidates based in Bucharest.

Responsibilities

• Investigating and analysing security events escalated by our SOC, digging deeper where needed
• Investigating, containing and resolving security incidents end to end, and documenting findings and lessons learned
• Developing and tuning security configurations, detection rules, use cases and response playbooks
• Carrying out proactive threat hunting and contributing to vulnerability management and compliance work
• Advising and supporting other teams, and sharing your security knowledge across the organisation

Qualifications

You have around 4–6 years’ experience working with IT security, ideally including hands‑on experience in security operations and incident response – for example, in a SOC, CSIRT or CERT. You have a solid understanding of security configurations, monitoring and incident response, with hands‑on experience in Microsoft security technologies, particularly Microsoft Defender and Azure. You are comfortable working across networking, Windows and Linux, and know your way around common attack techniques such as the MITRE ATT&CK framework. You use scripting, for example: Python or PowerShell, to automate parts of your work.

• A strong team player who communicates clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders

Fluent written and spoken English is required.

You must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years, as we work with security‑classified projects.
