Job summary

Phanofi in Denmark seeks a Senior Photonics Packaging Engineer to lead end-to-end packaging of PICs, turning dies into manufacturable modules. You will work with electronic, R&D and photonic engineers and influence technical direction as the company scales.

The role requires 5+ years in photonics packaging, a strong academic background, and hands-on experience taking packaging from lab to pilot production, with collaboration across partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in photonics engineering with deep hands-on PIC packaging expertise.
• Master's or PhD in Photonics, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field.
• Comfort turning lab prototypes into pilot-production components and working with partners.

Responsibilities

• Own the packaging of PICs end to end: optical interface, electrical interface and interposer packaging.
• Advance packaging methods toward repeatable, pilot-production processes and debug analytically.
• Collaborate with electronics, R&D and photonics teams and align with leadership on trade-offs.
• Help establish processes for design reviews, verification and scaling as we grow.
