Phanofi, a DTU spin‑out, seeks a Senior Photonics Packaging Engineer to own the packaging of PICs end to end, from die to manufacturable module, collaborating with electronic, R&D and photonic teams. You’ll advance bench‑level methods toward pilot production and guide packaging constraints in design reviews.

You should have 5+ years in photonics engineering with hands‑on PIC packaging experience and a strong background in optics, RF/DC interfaces, and packaging technologies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in photonics engineering with hands‑on PIC packaging experience.
• Broad understanding of packaging, optical coupling, RF/DC interfaces.
• Master's or PhD in a related field.
• Nice to have: design/modelling, reliability qualification, or external partner experience.
• Clear communicator who can work autonomously in a small, fast‑paced team.

Responsibilities

• Own the packaging of PICs end to end from die to manufacturable module.
• Develop repeatable, pilot‑production processes and characterisation.
• Bring packaging constraints into design reviews to ensure yield.
