Job summary

Planday is seeking a Senior Onboarding Consultant to drive onboarding and implementation for upper mid-market and enterprise customers. You’ll own complex engagements, combining product knowledge with technical aptitude to design scalable workflows and realize value quickly.

You’ll lead discovery, guide solution configurations, manage risks, and collaborate with Sales, Support, and Product to ensure a smooth, long-term customer journey.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in onboarding, implementation, customer success, or a similar SaaS role.
• Strong SaaS implementation experience, leading structured rollout to go-live.
• Strong technical aptitude discussing system configuration and integrations.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders across operational, technical, and leadership audiences.
• Ability to run excellent discovery and translate them into practical implementation plans and outcomes.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent project, time management, and prioritisation across multiple journeys.
• A proactive, self-directed approach with ownership and accountability.
• Empathy, patience, and a solutions-focused mindset with constructive challenge when needed.
• CRM proficiency and disciplined use of customer engagement tools.
• High professionalism and a collaborative, low-ego approach.
• Experience in workforce-intensive industries such as hospitality, retail, healthcare, or shift-based environments is preferred.
• Experience with integrations and complex business process design is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Project manage end-to-end onboarding and multi-site implementation for upper mid-market and enterprise customer portfolios.
• Act as the primary implementation lead for advanced customer requirements, including complex workflows and tailored rollout plans.
• Run high-quality discovery to understand goals, processes, challenges, and risks, translating into onboarding plans.
• Guide customers through solution design and configuration decisions aligning with business needs.
• Lead implementation conversations with stakeholders across operational, commercial, technical, and executive contacts.
• Deliver a high-quality onboarding experience with a consultative, structured approach.
• Proactively identify delivery risks and drive resolution to adoption.
• Support change management and go-live planning for successful launches.
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Support, Product for a seamless customer journey.
• Maintain governance, CRM records, and onboarding best practices.
• Use data and insights to improve onboarding playbooks and outcomes.
• Share knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement across onboarding.
