Job summary

Earthstream is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a major hyperscale data centre project in Denmark. You will oversee installation, coordination, and delivery of electrical systems, ensuring all works are performed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer on large-scale construction projects.
• Experience delivering hyperscale data centres or mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of LV/HV distribution, switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, cable containment, and power distribution.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work within fast-paced, multidisciplinary project teams.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a major hyperscale data centre project in Denmark. This role is responsible for overseeing the installation, coordination, and delivery of electrical systems, ensuring all works are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with the Project Manager, Package Managers, subcontractors, consultants, and the client, you will play a key role in delivering complex mission-critical electrical infrastructure from installation through to commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the installation of electrical systems across the project.
• Supervise subcontractors and site teams, ensuring work is carried out in accordance with project specifications and programme.
• Review electrical drawings, technical specifications, and installation methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions where required.
• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, QA/QC, and commissioning teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Attend site meetings and provide technical support to the project team and client.
• Support testing, energisation, commissioning, and system handover activities.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Assist with managing change, technical queries (RFIs), and project close-out.

Requirements

• Degree, HND, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer on large-scale construction projects.
• Previous experience delivering hyperscale data centre, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of LV and HV electrical distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, cable containment, and power distribution.
• Excellent understanding of electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and handover processes.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work within fast-paced, multidisciplinary project teams.
