Job summary

Mane Contract Services is recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer for a major data centre project in Fredericia, Denmark. You will own electrical engineering activities from design review through installation, commissioning and handover, with a strong focus on LV/MV systems and building services.

The role offers long-term stability with a substantial project pipeline across Europe, and opportunities to mentor junior engineers while coordinating with BIM, vendors and clients to deliver

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• 7+ years' project engineering experience, preferably within construction
• Strong experience with LV and MV electrical systems
• Experience delivering electrical projects within Data Centre, Commercial, Industrial or Pharmaceutical environments
• Knowledge of BS7671, ETCI, Building Regulations, EN and IEC standards
• Experience with Amtech, Dialux, AutoCAD 2D, Adobe Pro and MS Office
• Experience working directly with clients, vendors, contractors and design teams
• Strong technical submittal, design review and technical assessment experience
• Commercial awareness and strong project management capability
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
• A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong focus on EHS, quality and work management processes
• Leadership ability, with experience mentoring junior engineers

Responsibilities

• Review electrical designs, specifications and technical information, identifying gaps, clashes and design risks
• Validate cable sizing and electrical design calculations and provide technical recommendations
• Prepare, manage and coordinate technical submittals and approvals
• Coordinate electrical equipment procurement, delivery and receipt verification
• Work with BIM and construction teams to ensure designs are constructible and properly coordinated
• Monitor engineering and installation progress against the construction programme
• Liaise with design teams, vendors, subcontractors and clients to resolve technical issues
• Conduct electrical system walk-downs to verify compliance with drawings and specifications
• Coordinate testing, commissioning and handover activities
• Compile and manage test packs, FTOPs and O&Ms
• Manage specialist vendors during commissioning
• Provide technical support to construction, estimating, procurement and commercial teams
• Lead engineering and design management activities throughout the project
• Support QA processes and drive continuous improvement
• Mentor and coach junior engineers and graduates

Mane Contract Services are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a leading international engineering contractor on a major project in Fredericia, Denmark.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Electrical Engineer with significant LV/MV and building services experience to take ownership of electrical engineering activities from design review through to installation, commissioning and handover.

The Opportunity:

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating electrical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Working closely with the Project Manager, design teams, BIM, vendors, subcontractors and client, you will ensure electrical systems are technically compliant, constructible, delivered to programme and successfully commissioned.

This is a hands-on role offering significant technical responsibility, client exposure and the opportunity to mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

What're Looking For:

We're looking to speak with experienced Electrical Engineers with a strong background in building services, data centres or technically complex construction projects.

YOU'LL IDEALLY HAVE:

• 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• 7+ years' project engineering experience, preferably within construction
• Strong experience with LV and MV electrical systems
• Previous experience delivering electrical projects within Data Centre, Commercial, Industrial or Pharmaceutical environments
• Knowledge of BS7671, ETCI, Building Regulations, EN and IEC standards
• Experience with Amtech, Dialux, AutoCAD 2D, Adobe Pro and MS Office
• Experience working directly with clients, vendors, contractors and design teams
