Job summary

Earthstream is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a major hyperscale data centre project in Denmark. You will contribute to electrical system delivery from installation through commissioning and handover, ensuring safety, schedule, and quality.

In a multidisciplinary team, you will coordinate with construction, QA/QC, subcontractors, and the client to support delivery of mission-critical infrastructure, reading drawings, reviewing submittals, and addressing technical issues.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience as Electrical Engineer on data centre or mission-critical projects.
• Knowledge of LV electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, busbar, and cable containment.
• Experience coordinating site activities and managing subcontractors.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specs.
• Understanding of construction and commissioning processes.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate installation of electrical systems across the data centre project.
• Ensure works meet project specifications, drawings, and programme.
• Supervise subcontractors, monitor productivity, quality, and safety.
• Review electrical drawings, submittals, and installation methodologies.
• Assist with planning, sequencing, and coordination with other disciplines.
• Support inspections, testing, energisation, commissioning, and handover.
• Identify and resolve technical issues; raise RFIs as needed.
• Maintain site records and progress documentation.
• Attend coordination meetings with client and project teams.
• Ensure compliance with project quality standards and electrical regulations.

You will play a key role in the delivery of electrical systems from installation through to commissioning and handover, ensuring all work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary project team, you will coordinate with construction, commissioning, QA/QC, subcontractors, and the client to support the successful delivery of mission-critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the installation of electrical systems across the data centre project.
• Ensure all electrical works are completed in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and programme.
• Supervise subcontractors and monitor productivity, quality, and compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Review electrical drawings, technical submittals, and installation methodologies.
• Assist with planning, sequencing, and coordination of electrical works alongside other disciplines.
• Support inspections, testing, energisation, commissioning, and system handover.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, raising RFIs where required.Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and project documentation.
• Attend coordination meetings with the client, consultants, and project teams.
• Ensure compliance with project quality standards and relevant electrical regulations.

Requirements

• Degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Previous experience as an Electrical Engineer on data centre or other mission-critical construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of LV electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, busbar, cable containment, and power distribution.
• Experience managing electrical subcontractors and coordinating site activities.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and commissioning processes.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced project environment.
