Job summary

GemPool Recruitment is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a permanent position in Denmark. The role leads electrical engineering activities from design and technical review through construction, commissioning and handover, working with PMs, design teams, BIM, vendors and client reps.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years' experience in electrical project engineering, strong LV/MV systems knowledge, and a background in data centre, mission critical, pharmaceutical, industrial or commercial

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years' experience in electrical project engineering, ideally within construction.
• Strong knowledge of LV and MV electrical systems.
• Experience on Data Centre, Mission Critical, Pharmaceutical, Industrial or Commercial projects.
• Familiarity with BS 7671, ETCI, EN and IEC standards.
• Experience with electrical design reviews, submittals and system walk-downs.
• Ability to lead, communicate with clients, consultants, vendors and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering and design activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review drawings, specs and designs to identify gaps and risks.
• Validate cable sizing and electrical design solutions.
• Prepare and manage technical submittals, RFIs and clarifications.
• Coordinate with BIM, vendors and subcontractors to ensure constructibility and compliance.
• Provide technical support to site teams and resolve engineering issues.
• Monitor procurement and delivery of electrical equipment.
• Carry out electrical walk-downs and ensure installations meet drawings.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning and handover with stakeholders.
• Compile test packs, FATs and O&M documentation.
• Support system handover and client training.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.

Senior Electrical Engineer – Denmark | Permanent

We are recruiting an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a major project delivery team in Denmark.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading electrical engineering activities from design and technical review through construction, commissioning and handover, working closely with the Project Manager, design team, BIM team, vendors, subcontractors and client representatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering and design activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications and designs to identify gaps, discrepancies and technical risks.
• Review and validate cable sizing and electrical design solutions.
• Prepare and manage technical submittals, RFIs and design clarifications.
• Coordinate with design teams, BIM, vendors and subcontractors to ensure designs are constructible and compliant.
• Provide technical support to site teams and resolve engineering issues.
• Monitor procurement and delivery of electrical equipment.
• Carry out electrical system walk-downs and ensure installations comply with drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning and specialist vendors.
• Compile and review test packs, FTOPs and O&M documentation.
• Support system handover and client training.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years' experience in electrical project engineering, ideally within construction.
• Strong experience with LV and MV electrical systems.
• Previous experience on Data Centre, Mission Critical, Pharmaceutical, Industrial or Commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of relevant electrical regulations and standards, including BS 7671, ETCI, EN and IEC standards.
• Experience with electrical design reviews, technical submittals and system walk-downs.
• Experience working with clients, consultants, vendors and contractors.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction, commissioning and handover.
• Experience with Amtech, DIALux, AutoCAD 2D and MS Office.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead, influence and work independently.
• Strong focus on Health & Safety, Quality and project delivery.
