Job summary

Senior Electrical Engineer position based in Denmark by Pedro de Faria, leading electrical activities on a major construction project. You will coordinate technical design through on-site installation to commissioning, reviewing designs and ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• 7+ years of project engineering experience, ideally in construction.
• Experience with LV and MV systems in building services/data centres.
• Knowledge of EN, IEC, ETCI and BS7671 standards.
• Proficiency with Amtech, Dialux, AutoCAD 2D and MS Office.
• Demonstrated delivery of electrical projects in professional settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering activities on a major construction project in Denmark.
• Review designs, size cables, and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Manage submittals, procurement tracking, and approvals.
• Coordinate with BIM team to ensure constructible designs on site.

Our client is an international multi-disciplinary engineering services contractor delivering high-value projects for blue chip clients across Ireland, the UK, Europe and South Africa. They are a leading name in pharmaceuticals, data centres and power transmission and distribution, with a considerable portfolio of secured work for the next 5+ years.

The role

As Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead the electrical engineering activities on a major construction project in Denmark, coordinating technical design through onsite installation to successful commissioning.

What you will be doing

• Reviewing electrical designs, validating cable sizing, and resolving technical issues without delay
• Compiling and managing technical submittals through to approval, including procurement tracking and receipt verification
• Running electrical system walk-downs and confirming compliance with specifications and drawings
• Coordinating with the BIM team to ensure designs are constructible on site
• Managing test packs, FTOPs and O&Ms through to sign off
• Overseeing specialist vendors through the commissioning process
• Leading engineering design and pre-construction activities within an integrated project team
• Mentoring junior engineers and graduates

What you will bring

• 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• 7+ years of project engineering experience, ideally in a construction environment
• Strong LV and MV experience, primarily in building services and data centre settings
• Working knowledge of EN, IEC, ETCI and/or BS7671 standards
• Proficiency in Amtech, Dialux, AutoCAD 2D and MS Office
• A track record of delivering electrical projects in commercial, industrial, pharma or data centre settings
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
