Job summary

BEC Financial Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Reporting Solutions domain, based in Roskilde or Warsaw. You will work on data hubs for accounting and financial data, driving a cloud-based, event-driven data platform transformation.

The role requires 5+ years in banking IT, strong Mainframe/COBOL skills, and proficiency in SQL, Python, and Java. Join a cross-functional team advancing regulatory reporting and analytics.

Qualifications

• Master degree required.
• 5+ years as Software Engineer in Banking or financial IT.
• Preferably experience as a team architect.
• Preferably banking sector experience in Denmark.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting, financial, and regulatory data.
• Extensive Mainframe and COBOL experience.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Java.
• Experience with PowerCenter workflow development.
• Experience with Git, Jira and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with modern cloud-based data platforms like Databricks.
• Experience in agile environments such as Scrum or SAFe.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop systems, data, and platforms within Finance Solutions.
• Ensure stable operations through maintenance, housekeeping, and quality improvements.
• Design end-to-end data processing flows for accounting, financial, and regulatory data.
• Develop high-quality business solutions based on stakeholder requirements.
• Lead transformation of business requirements into architecture, software solutions, and automated workflows.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Software Engineers, and Architects in Reporting Solutions.
• Contribute to the data tech transformation toward a modern Databricks platform.
• Improve development processes and client engagement.
