Job summary

Ramboll in Denmark is seeking a Project Director / Senior Chief Engineer for power transmission and grid integration. You will lead end-to-end electrical system design for large-scale projects, spanning feasibility through construction, across offshore wind, data centers and energy infrastructure.

You will collaborate with international Power Systems teams, engage with client senior leadership, and drive optimized solutions while aligning with industry standards and sustainable transition goals.

Qualifications

• Hands-on modelling experience and OEM expertise.
• Experience with grid compliance and grid integration for utility-scale installations (BESS, renewables, data centres).
• Excellent managerial skills with 5+ years leading large electrical packages.
• Strong communication and client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical system design from feasibility through construction.
• Develop optimized designs to connect utility-scale assets to the grid.
• Lead dialogue with TSO/DSO to address requirements during design.
• Oversee engineering for large installations including OE, tender, and QA.
• Collaborate with engineering, discipline and project management teams.
• Manage dialogue with the client’s senior technical leadership.
• Develop scalable technical concepts across projects.
• Engage in industry forums and networks to stay current.
