Job summary

Ramboll is hiring a Project Director / Senior Chief Engineer – Power Transmission and Grid Integration. You will lead end-to-end electrical system design for utility-scale installations, guiding complex projects from FEED to construction.

The role spans international markets, including electrification, offshore wind, data centers and large energy infrastructure. You will shape design strategies, manage OE activities, and coordinate with client leadership and multidisciplinary teams to deliver

Qualifications

Strong OEM experience and hands-on modelling
Deep knowledge of grid-forming equipment and FACTS
Experience with electrical system design and power system simulation tools
Hands-on grid compliance and integration for utility-scale projects
Five+ years leading large, complex electrical packages
Excellent communication and client management skills

Responsibilities

Lead electrical system design from feasibility through construction
Develop optimized technical designs to connect assets to the grid
Manage dialogue with TSO/DSO and address design requirements
Oversee engineering (OE) activities: requirements, tenders, contractor oversight
Collaborate with engineering, management, and clients to ensure optimal outcomes
Engage with client senior leadership and industry forums
Develop scalable technical concepts across projects and clients
Contribute to industry standards and market trends
