Job summary

Novo Nordisk A/S is seeking a Senior AI Engineer in Enterprise AI to turn strategic use cases into reliable products across Novo. You’ll work in cross-functional teams across Commercial and Manufacturing & Product Supply, deciding when to use conventional software, rules, or GenAI, and taking solutions from prototype to production.

You will be part of AI Reinvent & Engineering, basing in Ballerup, Denmark, contributing to observable, scalable AI delivery in a regulated pharma context.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience building AI or software products.
• Experience taking AI-centric applications from idea to production.
• Hands-on experience operating AI in production, including evaluation and monitoring.
• Solid foundation in statistical and machine-learning concepts.
• Strong programming and software engineering skills, including APIs and CI/CD.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools in software delivery.
• Knowledge of modern AI interfaces and tool integrations.
• MSc/PhD or equivalent; BSc with industry experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Take AI- and ML-centric use cases from discovery through production and continuous improvement.
• Engineer the product-specific intelligence layer: data/feature transformations, decision logic, model/tool integrations, grounding, services and controls.
• Partner with stakeholders and product managers to frame problems and define outcomes.
• Build reliable, scalable, secure, observable products with testing, documentation and CI/CD.
• Apply Responsible AI, data integrity, validation, traceability and auditability in a regulated pharma environment.
• Collaborate with AI Foundation to reuse capabilities and create reusable components and patterns.
• Own substantial delivery workstreams and guide less experienced engineers.
