We are looking for a hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house team, take ownership of daily operations, and help Steam grow.
You will lead from the floor, work closely with the kitchen team, and keep service running smoothly. From supporting colleagues during busy shifts to organising schedules and special events, you will combine warm hospitality with confident, practical leadership.
We are looking for someone who notices what needs doing, takes initiative, and follows through.
Service and guest experience: Lead daily service, manage reservations and table flow, and handle guest enquiries, special requests, and feedback with care.
Team leadership and scheduling: Train and motivate the FOH team, give constructive feedback, prepare schedules within agreed staffing budgets, and oversee shift coverage and recorded hours.
Menu knowledge and kitchen coordination: Ensure the team can confidently explain our food, drinks, and allergens, and maintain clear communication with the kitchen throughout service.
Operations and business awareness: Maintain opening, closing, and cleanliness standards; oversee stock, ordering, and cash reconciliation; and identify ways to reduce waste and improve sales and efficiency.
Events and collaborations: Help plan and deliver pop-ups, festivals, private bookings, and special events.
Social media: Capture everyday moments, food, and events for Steam’s social channels.

At least 3 years of hospitality experience, ideally with supervisory or team leadership experience.
Strong organisational skills, a calm approach during busy service, and confidence in solving problems and giving and receiving feedback.
A warm, attentive approach to guests and a supportive attitude towards colleagues.
An interest in Chinese food and a willingness to learn about our ingredients, techniques, and stories.
Clear communication skills in English; Danish, Chinese, or Japanese are a plus.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and peak service hours.
