Job summary

Trackunit seeks a Software Engineer to build and ship new features on top of a scalable platform. You’ll join our platform team responsible for several live domains used daily by customers worldwide.

You’ll work with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka and REST APIs in a cloud-based microservice architecture, focusing on reliability, observability, and performance. We value incremental, quality delivery and learning from experienced teammates.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and REST APIs.
• Experience building and running your own services in a modern cloud-based microservice and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with live production systems and high data volumes.
• Interest in AI-assisted development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Improve, extend and run the live domains our team owns, including telemetry storage and APIs, the event system, and the alerting engine.
• Build and run your own services, with migration paths when architecture or data formats need to change.
• Work closely with the internal teams building products on top of the platform you help shape.
• Keep the platform reliable and observable at high data volumes.
