Job summary

Trackunit in Aarhus is seeking a backend engineer to lay the foundations of our Integrations effort, building connectors that bring customer data from third-party systems into the Trackunit platform. You’ll design a reusable architecture and work closely with partner teams to shape what gets built next.

You’ll leverage Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and REST APIs within a microservice setup, collaborating with colleagues worldwide and contributing to a data-driven integration platform from the ground

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and REST APIs.
• Experience designing new, reliable, reusable architecture for integrating with multiple systems.
• Comfort discussing technical feasibility with third-party technical teams.
• Care about data movement, quality, observability and reliability in design and delivery.
• Motivated by incremental delivery and building new foundations from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Design a reusable architecture for integrating with multiple third-party systems, not one-off solutions.
• Build connectors that collect data from third-party systems, usually ERPs, mainly by consuming their REST APIs, and bring it reliably into our platform.
• Understand the data you collect and transform it into Trackunit's data model.
• Work with third-party vendors: discuss technical feasibility and approaches with their technical counterparts.
• Build with quality, observability and reliability in mind, on our microservice and event-driven architecture.
