Job summary

Trackunit is seeking a backend engineer to build the foundation of our new Integrations effort. You’ll design a reusable architecture, build connectors to third-party systems, and transform data into Trackunit's model.

You’ll work closely with engineers behind connected systems and shape the roadmap with customer feedback. Whether you’re early in your career or a senior engineer, you’ll contribute to a small, focused team and see fast, tangible releases as we implement data integrations across

Qualifications

• Strong Java skills with Spring Boot, Kafka, and REST APIs, in a microservice architecture.
• Experience designing reusable architecture for integrating with multiple systems.
• Ability to discuss technical feasibility with third-party teams.
• Focus on quality, observability and reliability when data moves between systems.

Responsibilities

• Design a reusable architecture for integrating with multiple third-party systems, not one-off solutions.
• Build connectors that collect data from third-party systems, usually ERPs, by consuming their REST APIs, and bring it reliably into our platform.
• Understand the data you collect and transform it into Trackunit's data model.
• Work with third-party vendors: discuss technical feasibility and approaches with their technical counterparts.
• Build with quality, observability and reliability in mind, on our microservice and event-driven architecture.
