Job summary

Trackunit is seeking a Software Engineer to build and ship features on a scalable platform. You will join the platform team owning live domains and APIs, focusing on reliability, observability, and high-volume data processing with modern cloud-native microservices.

You’ll work with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and REST APIs, contribute to telemetry and alerting, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver incremental improvements on live infrastructure. Remote-ready with a global team.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and REST APIs, in particular building and running your own services in a modern cloud-based microservice and event-driven architecture.
You are comfortable working on live production systems with high data volumes and migration paths, keeping quality, observability, reliability, and performance in mind.
Nice to have: Flink and stateful processing (or the willingness to learn it), relational databases, and Grafana and Prometheus.

Responsibilities

Improve, extend and run the live domains our team owns, including telemetry storage and APIs, the event system, and the alerting engine, without disrupting production.
Build and run your own services, with migration paths when architecture or data formats need to change.
Work closely with the internal teams building products on top of the platform you help shape.
Keep the platform reliable and observable at high data volumes.
