Job summary

Hamamatsu Photonics Denmark in Birkerød is seeking a Technical Project Manager for Quantum Systems to lead development of ultra-stable fiber laser systems and prototypes.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams of optical, mechanical, and electronics engineers, manage timelines and budgets, and provide updates to internal stakeholders and customers, ensuring successful delivery of quantum technologies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in photonics or related field.
• Strong background in project management within high-tech or engineering environments.
• Experience with multi-disciplinary projects in photonics/optics/quantum technologies.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with PRINCE or similar PM methodologies.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% annually.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage technical projects from concept to delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams of optical, mechanical and electronics engineers, stakeholders, and production specialists.
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external customers.
• Develop project plans, risk assessments, and resource allocations.
• Support strategic decision-making with insights on feasibility and customer requirements.
