Qualifications

• Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of experience in pressure mechanics or industrial high-tech equipment.
• Strong 3D CAD skills; SolidWorks preferred.
• Experience with opto-mechanical systems or laser products is advantageous.
• Ability to lead mechanical product development and ensure manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for mechanical development of laser products throughout the full product lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical, optical, and electronics engineers on concept development, prototyping, and design maturation.
• Own defined work packages within product development projects and coordinate with project managers.
• Design precision mechanical and opto‑mechanical components including creation of 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Support prototype assembly, functional testing, and product qualification.
• Support manufacturing of existing laser products, custom orders, and continuous product improvement.
• Ensure product compliance and certification according to relevant standards.
• Contribute to manufacturing release and production ramp‑up.
• Work with purchasing and suppliers to identify cost‑effective manufacturing solutions for parts and subassemblies.
