Job summary
Aarhus University invites applications for a fully funded postdoc in the Biology of Neuropeptides. The one-year position (April 1, 2027 start) may be extended for up to two more years, hosted by the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics and DANDAIRTE/PROMEMO networks.
The candidate will work with mice and primary neuron cultures, applying cutting-edge cell biology, proteomics and super-resolution microscopy.
Qualifications
- PhD in neurobiology, cell biology or related field.
- Experience in cellular neurobiology, biochemistry, genetics and proteomics.
- Expertise in APEX/BioID proximity labelling and proteomics.
- Desirable experience with mice handling, microscopy, AI protein modelling or live neural imaging.
- Publication record and international mobility valued.
- Strong collaboration, mentoring and project management skills.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead an interdisciplinary neurobiology project.
- Collaborate with proteomics experts.
- Work with mice models and primary neuron cultures.
- Attend and contribute to conferences.
- Engage in grant writing and lab leadership activities.
