Job summary

Aarhus University invites applications for a Postdoc in Translational Psychiatry within the Department of Clinical Medicine. The fixed-term full-time project runs for 1 year and 4 months, starting 1 October 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Work will be at Aarhus University Hospital or another hospital in the Central Denmark Region. The project investigates sex differences in Major Depressive Disorder, utilizing miRNA and extracellular vesicle biomarkers profiled with Nanostring nCounter.

Qualifications

• PhD-level academic qualifications are required for this position.
• Beneficial to have bioinformatics/computational skills and strong scientific writing abilities.
• Fluent in spoken and written English is expected.

Responsibilities

• Carry out research activities in Translational Psychiatry as part of a team.
• Contribute to high-quality manuscripts and project reports for publication.
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervise/guide students or junior researchers as needed.
