Job summary

Genetec is seeking a Sales Engineer for the Nordics who will work closely with the Sales team, Field Project Engineers, and Pre-Sales Engineers to position Genetec solutions. The role is based in or near Copenhagen, with travel 30-40% and proximity to an airport.

You will be the technical point of contact for customers and sales teams. Requirements include an engineering degree and 8+ years of customer-facing experience in security, plus pre-sales exposure.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electronics, computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent.
• At least 8 years' professional experience in roles with customers or partners, preferably in security.
• Initial pre-sales experience in IT or security company.
• Excellent oral presentation skills.
• Excellent analytical and incident resolution skills.
• Knowledge of the security market.
• Comfortable working in a multicultural/international environment.
• Experience as a security system installer/commissioner and as a system integrator.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Genetec's software and hardware products.
• Define solutions best suited to customer/partner requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, customers and partners.
• Present high-level demonstrations of Genetec's product range.
• Provide technical support to sales teams in response to customer specs.
• Collaborate with technical support to ensure smooth pre- to post-sales transition.
• Participate in security trade shows, exhibitions and seminars.
• Write white papers and become a Genetec solutions expert.
• Provide technical feedback from the field to Product Management.
• Implement complex software solutions.
• Travel 30-40% of the time.
