Job summary

SimCorp is seeking a Lead IT Auditor to lead IT audits across multiple business units, evaluating internal controls and security of IT systems. You will work with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, document findings, and drive remediation actions in a regulatory and industry-standard environment.

The role requires 7+ years of IT auditing experience, familiarity with security standards (NIST, ISO/IEC 27000), and professional certifications.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Security or similar field.
  • 7+ years of professional IT auditing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IT risk management, governance, and controls.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute IT audits across business units to assess internal controls and IT security.
  • Evaluate IT processes, applications, and systems for compliance with policies and standards.
  • Identify IT risks, vulnerabilities, and gaps, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Prepare audit reports and present findings to senior leadership.
  • Monitor implementation of corrective actions from prior audits.

This role involves assessing IT infrastructure, systems, and processes to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement. The Lead / Principal IT Auditor works closely with business units and senior leadership to test whether IT risks are managed effectively, and that the organization’s technology systems support its compliance and operational objectives.In an IT organization like SimCorp, the Lead / Principal IT Auditor promotes collaboration among business, information security, risk management, and Internal Audit. By conducting risk-based audits and identifying relevant issues, the auditor enhances IT governance, risk management, and business resilience, ensuring compliance with policies and industry standards while promoting continuous improvement and accountabilityWHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FORLead and execute IT audits across various business units to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and the security of IT systems and infrastructureEvaluate IT processes, applications, and systems for compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practicesIdentify and assess IT risks, vulnerabilities, and control gaps, providing actionable recommendations for mitigation and improvementCollaborate with IT teams and business units to ensure that audit findings are addressed and corrective actions are implemented effectivelyPrepare detailed audit reports documenting findings, recommendations, and action plans, and present these reports to senior leadershipMonitor and track the implementation of corrective actions from prior audits to assess improvements implemented by the business and issues are resolved in a timely mannerEnsure that audits are conducted in alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements concerning audit of IT-related risksAssist in developing audit plans, schedules, and priorities, ensuring audits are conducted in line with organizational objectivesAssist in developing and refining audit methodologies, tools, and processes to improve IT audit practicesStay current on emerging IT risks, regulatory changes, and audit standards to ensure that audit practices remain effective and relevantProvide guidance and support to junior auditors, supporting their development in IT auditing and auditing standardsTYPE OF WORK THIS ROLE ENAGES WITHLeading IT audits to evaluate IT infrastructure, security, and complianceIdentifying vulnerabilities and recommending improvements to strengthen IT controls and mitigate risksCollaborating with business and IT teams to address audit findings and validate the implemented corrective actionsWHAT WE VALUEUniversity degree in Computer Science, Information Security or similar relevant field7+ years of professional experience of practical IT auditingStrong cross-domain IT knowledge, including network technology, operating systems, Information Security, SDLC, cloud (MS Azure)Solid knowledge of common IT and security standards such as CSA-CCM, ITIL, COBIT, BSI IT Grundschutz, NIST, CIS-18 and ISO/IEC 27000 seriesRelevant professional certification such as CISA, CISM, CISSP or CIA preferredHigh analytical skills, methodical know-how and conceptual understanding of complex mattersFluent English and effective interpersonal communication abilitiesBENEFITSAttractive salary is essential for any work agreement.
