Job summary

SimCorp in Denmark is looking for a Senior Principal Software Engineer to lead backend development and DevOps for the DEP 2.0 platform, a cloud native SaaS built on Azure. You will provide technical direction, write high-quality code, and shape the architecture alongside architects and fellow engineers.

You will collaborate with frontend, data, and data engineering teams, stay current with new technologies, and drive architectural decisions, design roadmaps, and support ongoing client

Qualifications

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

You will be joining an innovative application development team within SimCorp's Product Division. We provide a cloud native SaaS product built on Azure using modern development principles, technologies and practices. The product, Digital Engagement Platform (DEP) has been operational for 3 years and based in client feedback and our own experience we have begun to lift the product to the next level, modernizing architecture and tech stack so we can scale DEP for a much larger audience than we can today. This is why we need you - to help design and build a new DEP 2.0 that can support the biggest clients, asset managers, across the globe.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Feature development
• DevOps discussions and implementations.
• Design and Architecture: Work together with other software engineers and architect to define and refine the product architecture and roadmap
• Guide and support other team mates to ensure the spread of knowledge and experience.
• Keep up to date with the latest technologies and find ways to improve the existing software
• Participate in support activities and client communication

To be successful in this job you are a very experienced developer. You have deep expertise in backend development and DevOps, and you are familiar with frontend development. You are a hands‑on developer who loves to create high‑quality code, and you can offer technical direction and leadership and collaboration with colleagues - architect and teammates - when creating an architecture, a design or just troubleshooting.
