As our new Lead M&A Specialist, you will be involved in M&A transactions end-to-end, from letter of intent through due diligence, negotiations, and signing, while coordinating cross-functional teams and building trusted relationships with stakeholders and advisers worldwide.

What you will be doing

As part of the Group M&A team based in our head offices in Bjerringbro, Denmark, you'll get a central role in strategic acquisitions and partnerships that accelerate Grundfos's growth and strengthen our position as a global water technology leader.

Your main responsibilities include:
  • Execute M&A transactions from LOI through due diligence, negotiations, and closing, including integration, merger, and carve-out planning
  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams and align internal and external stakeholders throughout the deal lifecycle
  • Prepare and quality-assure decision materials for Executive Management, the M&A Committee, and external parties
  • Conduct valuations, financial analyses, and assessments of potential M&A targets
  • Challenge and validate deal hypotheses, and key assumptions to support sound decision-making
  • Drive M&A improvement initiatives and strengthen the Grundfos M&A processes and ways of working
What makes you a great fit

You are a structured and self-driven transaction professional with strong analytical skills, commercial judgement, stakeholder management capabilities, and the ambition to move beyond the traditional adviser role. We also imagine that you have:

  • A master's degree in economics, finance, business, commercial, or alternatively engineering disciplines combined with an MBA
  • 2-5 years of experience in corporate M&A, investment banking, transaction advisory, private equity, or similar
  • Strong analytical and valuation capabilities with excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English
It is a plus if you also:
  • Have experience working across large organisations and geographical and cultural boundaries
  • Have strong digital and AI literacy and can leverage technology in deal execution
  • Have a track record of driving process improvements in a transaction or corporate development environment
Why you will love working here

We care! Day to day, you can look forward to:

  • A working environment built around your needs, with flexible hours, home working opportunities and parental support.
